PrograMaria is an initiative that brings more women to tech careers and empowers them to learn how to code. By doing so, PrograMaria tackles the shortage of technical workforce in the sector and contributes to a more equal society. To date, the project impacted +20.000 women interested in technology, with master classes and workshops of different programming languages.

To define better the project aims and limitations, the Design Thinking techniques were used in a workshop format. The activity, conducted by me and another team member, generated the keywords that guided us in the development of the project. Later on, I led the efforts to create a canvas business model that supported the project's next steps.

PROJECT IDEATION

To define better the project aims and limitations, the Design Thinking techniques were used in a workshop format. The activity, conducted by me and another team member, generated the keywords that guided us in the development of the project. Later on, I led the efforts to create a canvas business model that supported the project's next steps.

COMMUNICATION STRATEGY

Online and offline campaigns were the main tool to ensure the group would reach the biggest number of women and girls in the country. The online and offline campaign #SerMulherEmTech ("being a woman in tech", in English), with activation in the social media and the Campus Party Brazil, had massive participation and until today is used in social media organically. The idea was to share stories of women that work with technology and portrait them as role models to the ones considering pursuing the career. I was the designer responsible for the campaign and created the visual identity and the materials that followed.

To support the different activities of the team, I created different visual pieces and coordinated different work tasks with the volunteers of the PrograMaria network.
